I had posted all the URL links for the various countries and cities to save you time to search for them. Just need to click on the various countries or cities URL link and will bring to the thread you are looking for.

Please do not start a thread unnecessary.Ask question(s) here before you start a thread. All new duplicate threads will be deleted or merged into the existing threads. Also there is absolutely no reason to quote entire LONG post when posting new reply.

Wow - so many China threads!

Suggest:
Psychology of Dongguan, which is a new thread and not offering much by way of new information, and the ChangAn one - another city within Dongguan city (and which has also basically "died" of late), to be merged into the "Events in CP thread."

Merge Danshui into the Huizhou thread as DS is just another city within HZ.

Split up Macau from Zhuhai - two totally different places/mongering scene, and include Tanzhou into the new Zhuhai thread as its basically part of the Zhuhai mongering scene - even if it is actually in ZhongShan.

I feel for you and DO SEE all the work you've put into this. Kudos!

I of course don't know how things work/should work on SBF as far as TS etc is concerned - but how about you asking FGG to just start another thread and merge all of them together?

And just keep existing thread and change the title to something like "Zhuhai and Surrounds" and start a new Macau thread.

Anyway, just suggesting.... as usual. LOL

Even in her school, the ratio of guys to girls is 3:1, her kindergarten has got a lot of male students versus female students. Friends have been telling me that it is all right; if China cannot play anymore then go to Thailand, if sick of Thailand, go to Vietnam. I personally think that we cannot compare apple to durians. PS - just thought up an expanded title for the General China thread:
"China - Discussions, Pictures, Travel Announcements, New Lobangs, TCSS."
Pictures for obvious reason, Travel coz so many of the individual threads are full of announcements that "I'm gonna be there on .... let's meet up," and New Lobangs of course refers to both actual destination in China and about girls which is a perennial favorite topic. In fact, you could even consider changing the Thai and Vietnam TCSS threads the same way. Then discussions like Songkran, which is trending on separate threads right now, will gravitate towards this centralized thread. As it is now, IMHO both threads mostly just hollow TCSS.

Why do you micro-manage?


In the past, this section has no control with any Tom, Dick or Harry can start a new thread...then wait for anyone to reply...if no seniors reply then the thread can garner zero reply...after a few days or weeks...another newbie post a new thread asking the same questions which already there are existing more than 5 threads on same topic...:)

When the above happened, the section seems messy and no way to find actual info...any senior or newbie have no idea where to read or post in which thread...so samster resort to posting in all threads hoping to gat reply...:)

Examples -

1. Just Bangkok can have 4 main threads with 1mil views and many more small threads with zero to 1,000 views.
2. China which consists of so many cities both large and small but concentration mainly focus on Southern China have so many threads...most confusing situation.
3. Just Haikou can have 10 threads...but hardly anyone contribute forums except a few samsters


So after seeking some answers from seniors for each city and merging most of the threads...starting this thread to find the city will allow any samster whether senior or newbie to search, read and post in the various cities threads.

In the past, couples tend to head towards the abortion table once they find out that their baby is a girl; having that girl would mean that they cannot try again for a boy. Seems to be differing opinions on this.

In this case, the person was detained by customs, and question by them and immigration i believe. I have only been asked this in CAmbodia, and refuse, which delay my Visa processing. I am worried about bribing Immigration in airport where cameras are there, and dont think i would risk it. I travel a lot n my luggage is always store with condoms. I was stopped by the immigration in Melbourne and Perth. Full search of my luggage, simply pour all items out and saw my condoms n started asking stupid questions. They were amused to see a box of 12 condoms n I had to educate them, I practice safe sex.:D Both cases they let me go after finding nothing.

I traveled to New York just after 911, just stamped my passport and I was thru. I have not encounter any problem when traveling in Asia.

It would be safer if u try not to bring any items related to sex (especially in Indon). Be it kondoms, enhanced pill. XXX pics in ur HP better delete it or save it in ur laptops (home). If they suspect you of anything, they try pressure you to make you nervous to admit something, in case you are doing anything illegal. My general advice when travelling across borders is as follows:


1. Know the country's immigration law
Certain activities/substances allowed in some countries cannot be allowed in others. For example, I may have certain perscription drug perfectly legal in my country, but not allowed in others (i have had these drugs destroyed upon arrival before). Also certain activites (i.e. prostitution) are allowed in some, but prohibitied in others. Knowing the law will let you know what you can do, and what you can say to a customs officer.

2. Prepare your story to tell Immigration
If you are travelling for Business, you should have documents, meetings, schedule setup to show the officer. If for vacation, tell the officer your itinerary, the cities you plan to visit etc.. When i travel for tourism, I tell them the cities and locations i am visiting, along with the foods and restaurtants i am going. Knowing your story in advance will help you tell the officer without getting nervous or looking suspicious.

3. Do not get nervous, act confident
I had a friend who worked at border patrol briefly, and the biggest indicator they use to locate suspicious traveller is those who have a strange story, and act nervous. They are less likely to search and detain people who have a reasonable story, and act calm and confident. Most people who are not doing anything wrong have no need to act nervous. This is just the facts, if you are a nervous person just try work on your demeanor with other strangers.

4. Be prepared to be asked any random questions
Customs/immigration will ask you any question to try "rattle" you and make you nervous. If they see condoms and porn, they may ask " you here to cheong" etc... Just be prepared to answer such questions, and make sure your answers correspond with your story above. The more your answers diverge from your story, the more likely you will be detained longer for further questioning. The purpose of detaining and making people wait hours, is to make them nervous and uncomfortable, and more likely to confess any wrongdoing if they have done something illegal. I've been detained for hours before, and let go when they don't find anything.

5. Do not carry any potentially offending items, or 'red flag' items
Don't carry any items which may raise 'red flags' with customs or immigration. Things which may look like 'drugs' (powders), liquids, condoms, porn, pictures and videos on your phone. Delete, erase, and leave them at home. Don't carry large stacks of cash (you have to report large amounts usually over 10,000 USD anyways). Customs can search anything in your belonging, and ask you questions based on that. They usually ask you about any unusual belongings to make you nervous and confess if you are doing anything illegal.

6. Be polite, honest, and straightforward with the Officer
This is obvious. People who are rude and insult the officer, can get detained, searched, fined, and possibly arrested. Officers are given broad legal powers to question and search anyone who comes into their country to preserve national security. They usually have a 'power trip' so best not to combat them or they will make your life miserable.


I am not promoting anything illegal with my advice above. I don't advocate you do anything illegal or break the law, especially when you are travelling to a foreign country. This advice is only to avoid getting detained and hassled at immigration/customs when you are there for perfectly legal purposes, such as business, tourism, etc.. It really sucks when you spend hours travelling to a new country, only to spend a few hours upon arrival getting detained and checked out before you can start you vacation or business trip.

If they suspect you of anything, they try pressure you to make you nervous to admit something, in case you are doing anything illegal. My general advice when travelling across borders is as follows:


1. Know the country's immigration law
Certain activities/substances allowed in some countries cannot be allowed in others. For example, I may have certain perscription drug perfectly legal in my country, but not allowed in others (i have had these drugs destroyed upon arrival before). Also certain activites (i.e. prostitution) are allowed in some, but prohibitied in others. Knowing the law will let you know what you can do, and what you can say to a customs officer.

2. Prepare your story to tell Immigration
If you are travelling for Business, you should have documents, meetings, schedule setup to show the officer. If for vacation, tell the officer your itinerary, the cities you plan to visit etc.. When i travel for tourism, I tell them the cities and locations i am visiting, along with the foods and restaurtants i am going. Knowing your story in advance will help you tell the officer without getting nervous or looking suspicious.

3. Do not get nervous, act confident
I had a friend who worked at border patrol briefly, and the biggest indicator they use to locate suspicious traveller is those who have a strange story, and act nervous. They are less likely to search and detain people who have a reasonable story, and act calm and confident. Most people who are not doing anything wrong have no need to act nervous. This is just the facts, if you are a nervous person just try work on your demeanor with other strangers.

You are correct. Condoms and porn usually not an issue, however, some Customs officer may ask you about awkward or uncomfortable subjects to try "rattle" you. Now that VTL is open a lot of possibilities presented. Planning a 3 month trip away from SG and intend to make full use of the world.
