從非洲返國男子疑染伊波拉 高榮緊急隔離

高雄榮民總醫院今晚8點左右，收了一名疑似感染伊波拉病毒的20歲左右男性。該男子有發燒及上 吐下瀉的症狀 ，且才剛從非洲奈及利亞回國，但詳細的入境、旅行細節都還不清楚。目前高榮已將病患安置在負壓 隔離病房內。
高榮證實，1名最近有前往奈及利亞旅遊紀錄的年輕男子到院，且有發燒、上吐下瀉的症狀，因此質 疑有感染伊波 拉的風險，院方已緊急隔離觀察；另一名與病患曾接觸的護理人員也已隔離觀察。
至於何時能確認是否感染伊波拉，高榮指出，該男子不是從非洲三國(獅子山、賴比瑞亞、幾內亞) 返國，不符疾 管署的通報病例標準，但不能排除風險，明早會立即將檢體送疾管署化驗。

Possible Ebola patient quarantined in Kaohsiung

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- A local man who was in Nigeria recently has been admitted to a hospital in Kaohsiung after he was suspected of having Ebola, local news media and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reported. He has been placed under quarantine while tests are conducted over whether he has the infectious disease.
A netizen reported a state of lockdown at the Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital (KGVH) when he brought his or her son to visit at around 10 p.m.; the hospital's emergency room was shut and guards said a suspected Ebola patient had been admitted.
The quarantined man reported eating a “bat meal” while in Nigeria. When he arrived, he had a fever and was vomiting as well as experiencing diarrhea, hospital Deputy Director Chang Hung-tai said, according to SETN.com's telephone interview.
Nigeria is currently not listed as an Ebola-afflicted area by the CDC.
Due to a heightened state of vigilance, KGVH has quarantined the patient in a negative pressure isolation room.
The hospital said that samples from the patient will be sent for medical analysis in the morning.
CDC Deputy Director Chuang Ren-Hsiang said that the CDC received KVGH's report at around 10 p.m. on Friday, saying it had admitted a man who just arrived from Nigeria. Specifics regarding the time of entry into Taiwan and symptoms remain unclear, according to Chuang.
In October, a 45-year-old woman in Taoyuan was suspected of having Ebola but it turned out to be a false alarm.
