proper quoting etiquette

based on several quoting style here and also googling,

i want to find out what is the majority's quoting style.
seem to find reply via bottom quoting annoying because you have to scroll all the way to the bottom to reply.
reply via top quoting seems so much easier and normal like emails but why are some people still using bottom quoting?
