Passengers attempting to travel on budget carrier Jetstar over the past few days were met with many delays and several cancelled flights as the airline struggled in its transition to swap to a new check-in and baggage handling agent.

At least six different flights were cancelled and another eight were delayed significantly. Other flights had problems with baggage collection after the flight with passengers’ bags not being available until over 5 hours after the flight landed.

The problems affected passengers travelling in and out of Singapore on Jetstar but Jetstar declined to say how many passengers were affected.
According to a spokesperson from the company, the situation is temporary and the problems that they have been experiencing with the new check-in and baggage handling systems have been randomly occurring in the last two days.

They have not affected every single flight and they apologised to affected customers.
