NSF JAILED 2 MONTHS, 3 STROKES FOR SPRAYING ANONYMOUS SLOGANS AT SUNSHINE PLAZA

Full time National Serviceman, Mohamad Fadzly Aziz, 21, was sentenced to 2 months in jail and 3 strokes of the cane for his part in the spray painting of 'anonymous' slogans on a pavement at Sunshine Plaza.
Fadzly had been keeping a look out while his friend Muhammad Qamarul Arifin Sa'adon sprayed the pavement with the words "We are one, we are legion, expect us!!". The same thing was also sprayed at two other locations nearby.
The incident happened outside Sunshine plaza along Prinsep Link at about 4am on November 5th last year.

Two of their other accomplices were given a discharge not amounting to an acquittal, meaning it would be on their record but they wouldn't need to serve any jail or get caning.
The last of the group of 5 is still waiting for his trial.
The maximum penalty for vandalism is 3 years in jail and $2000 fine. There is also a minimum 3 strokes of the cane and a maximum of 8.
