This morning, I woke up to a few private messages from my PAP friends who are asking me why am I supporting Roy. My explanation to them is quite simple.
Roy may have made some mistakes in his blog regarding CPF, but why can't we just forgive him and move on?
They let a terrorist escape from our detention.
And what happens? It's as simple as coming out with an apology and saying that it has happened. It's as simple as saying that either the terrorist is still in Singapore or he's not. And yeah, is he still keeping on to his seat? Roy lost his job!
Which is more of a serious issue? A blogger who may have made some mistakes in his blogging or a terrorist who escapes from detention and who may harm our life?
See and compare the two scenarios! The government came down hard on Roy as if he is one big threat to us but come down soft on the Minister In Charge who let a terrorist escape under his watch!
You decide!
