The big difference is the role he is expected to play, as one who looks after the interests of each and every child in the playground. With such immaturity, we wonder how is this going to be possible.

The other thing we know for sure is, that with immaturity comes irrationality. The events unfolding before our eyes since he became PM are a story being told in real time. Each event shows up the lack of leadership in him and his inability to control and rein in the wayward members of his team and government.

We can cite numerous examples to show this or that minister running away with his own agenda, own preference, and own direction. And, amid all these, the PM would just tag along, hoping each of those rides would be happy ones. Unfortunately, there are to many rides taking the wrong turn for the worse, but he still chooses to pink them up, somehow.

Take the Little India Riot for an example. In his haste to kill as many birds as possible with one stone, he took the cues from his ministers to jump the gun even as the COI he had called for was still being firmed up. He went one step further to have breakfast with the ‘first responders’ to credit them and the establishments they belong to, for a job well done. It didn’t crossed his mind that their colleagues could have been the ones responsible for the outbreak of the riot. Furthermore, he took the opportunity to blame online citizens for the flaks they were dissing out to them, the SPF especially, disregarding the comments that the SPF might have a hand in the upheaval.
Well, today we hear that the so-called rioters are fighting back. Three of them have filed for police assault. Thanks to the PM for his support, the police are emboldened to treat these poor workers like roughshods. Whose help can they seek when the PM are already stood on the opposite side? He has to be there, he has already taken that side – even before anyone knows exactly what happened, and whose fault it may be.

Don’t you think his irrational behavior will ensure injustice for the poor workers? The hardest part of all these for Singaporeans is that he is not going to grow up anytime soon. Not when he is still making immature statements in pink clothes. He needs a good kick, agree?
