There were rumors that she was seen around Marine Parade too. Got good school there?

SINGAPORE - It seems Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung did more than sightseeing while in Singapore. She had also been keeping herself busy by getting her hands dirty in the kitchen during her stay here.

Last weekend, we reported that Cheung was spotted at a local burger joint Veganburg on Oct 25.

More recently, the 33-year-old actress was filmed chopping up food in the kitchen of a local F&B outlet Rice&Fries in an amateur video that was uploaded on Facebook on Oct 30.

Dressed in a blue sports jacket with hair pulled back in a bun, it appears Cheung's culinary skills were put to the test as chef Ken Chia, owner of Rice&Fries, challenged her to slice up 20 pieces of potatoes in 1 second. While she joked about being able to chop up only one slice in one second, the actress also demonstrated that she was no newbie in the kitchen as she chopped away without looking at her fingers.

The 16-second clip, which also shows Cheung assisting the chef to make mash potatoes, is the third post of the actress at the restaurant. She was also there on two other occasions, on Oct 21 and 24, where she dined in and had lamb shank.

The earlier post, dated Oct 21, read: "There was one time, at Rice&Fries, Cecilia Cheung came and made all our day!!! #truestory What a total babe!!!" She was pictured with Chef Chia and other patrons to the restaurant, who are presumably her friends.

The subsequent post on Oct 24 read: "One for the wall-of-fame for our lambshank-bank!!! Thanks for coming back for seconds, Cecilia!!!" Here, Cheung was photographed smiling and holding onto a bone of a lamb shank.

A later post that day also revealed that the actress, who seemingly had a wonderful appetite, enjoyed the crab pasta best at Rice&Fries. It said: "Oh boy do we LOVE people who can EAT! This is one true beauty with a beautiful appetite!!! Her favourite? Our crab pasta!"

Rice&Fries is located near Kembagan MRT station and serves Western food at reasonable prices. On the menu are dishes like Forest Mushroom Cappucino Soup ($4.80), Miso Salmon Alfredo ($12.80) and Rosemary Chicken ($9.80), and its famed Lamb Shank ($24.80).

Coincidentally, both sightings of Cheung at F&B spots were located in eastern parts of Singapore. Veganburg is situated at Eunos.

It is unclear if the actress, who is reportedly embroiled in alimony disputes with ex-husband Nicholas Tse, has left the country or is in still in town. But she had been in Singapore for at least 1.5 weeks.

Chinese evening daily Lianhe Wanbao reported on Friday that she may be looking for schools in Singapore for her two children. However, there are also rumours that she plans to migrate to Canada with her boys, Lucas, 6, and Quintus, 3.
