My wife and me are both early 40s and just got married. All these yrs , we didnt talk abt being parent until recently, when a close friend became parents. That triggers sone thought on the joy of parentalhood n maybe, we shd have our own kid.

The prob is, i am ok with or without kids. We finally sopke abt this topic n i told my wife, we can try, but let nature take its own course. I am not very religious but i prefer to leave it to the big boss up there to decide. If have, ok, if not, fine.

We tried for last mth and i felt so so presurised when she told me..we need to "work" later or tonigt. It was sooo stressful n i just wanna get it done n away with. It doesnt help when i am already not high sex drive n that really pushes my limit!

She has put on quite a bit if weight since marriage n started to get lazy working out. Guess to a certain extend, that also reduces my horniness.

She just told me she was feeling sad cos her period came. I was lost for words. Also asked me if i am ok with seeking medical help. I was like wtf?? Initially, we agreed to leave it to nature. Now? Go all out??

I think going to seek medical help is a good idea. I get your point, but do think of it this way, if the doctor advice both of you not to try than you no stress and she also will not disturb you right ? Or maybe they can give proper advice on how to up the chances to get pregnant , than you can get it done with.

Sometimes the more you hurry it just dont come. But when it comes , it's just out of the blue. When i was 21 and my wife was 18 suddenly i make her pregnant, than 4 years later we decided to try for 1 more..... Guess what, it came only like another 4 years later when i was 29 .

TCC (trying to conceive) is like taking a roller coaster ride for woman and she will naturally feel more stressful especially when her biological clock is tickling on her.

However, do encourage her to read up more on TCC, start on the daily dosage of folic acid, educate her on the standard time frame and it is not like doing everyday equals to higher chance of pregnancy. Do note that for some women, even if they ovulate, the eggs are infertile.

U might like to talk to her about having a more nutritious diet, avoid taking the "liang" stuff, go for a evening stroll/weekend sport activities to strengthen the bond etc.
