Why the Republicans so opposed to Obama care when analysis showt
tthat it will reduce the healthcare costs of American society tremendous once the initial costs borne by govt is paid out.
One potent legislation in Obama care is insurance companies
have to pay out 85% of premiums collected. You minus overheads, admin costs and taxes it reduces the profit margin's to a minimum. Insurance companies play an important role to negotiate down the charges paid to hospitals by putting pressure on their margin's, it will suppress the rise of medical costs. By forcing them to payou, insurannce companies will reduce it's costs... spend less on advertising and
has less incentive to pay lawyers who specialise in denying claim.
If you look at all insurance schemes run
by the PAP , a significant portion of the premiums is not paid out but kept by the scheme. This translate to profits for private companies when scheme's like medishield are transferred to them.
So far there is little transparency on the accurial computational if these schemes are design to seek high surplus and profits.
Before medishield is changed to. Medishield Life we must consider
these suggested changes to reduce costs for Singaporeans
