A photo of Fairfield Methodist Secondary students perched on a fence to avoid a flooded section of their school has been making its rounds on the Internet, which also caught STOMPer Hui's attention.
The flood was caused by heavy rain in (http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singaporeseen/this-urban-jungle/flash-floods-hit-parts-of-spore-and-leave-traffic-stuck-for-30-minutes)central and western parts (http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singaporeseen/this-urban-jungle/flash-floods-hit-parts-of-spore-and-leave-traffic-stuck-for-30-minutes) of Singapore this morning, and hit areas such as Commonwealth, Clementi, as well as the National University of Singapore (http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singaporeseen/this-urban-jungle/flash-floods-in-nus-leave-people-knee-deep-in-water).
The heaviest rainfall was recorded at Kent Ridge, the area which NUS is located in, with a rainfall of 102.8mm from 8.10am to 9.40am, reports The Straits Times.
