High post employee suspect to alter his rank in NS cert

Please don't flame me for posting non sex related topic here, I tried to start a thread in coffeeshop but don't know why they don't allow me to do that.

I have a question here and I hope some bros could provide me with an answer, thanks in advance.

I recieved some information, but don't know how true is it that a highly post employee in my company actually altered the rank status in his NS certificate from Corporal to Captain when he first came for interview 10 years back inorder to add stakes to his resume and secure himself the job. Actually sounds possible if you use the correct tools to alter the short form of Corporal CPL to the short form of Captain CPT. he just need to delete away the horizontal part of the capital L and input a horizontal line ontop to make it a T, there you go, from CPL, he became a CPT. And he always proudly annouced in the meeting that he was an EX Captain in SCDF, but I always wonder why an EX SCDF Captain speaks such poor Singlish and acted unprofessionally as if he's only Primary 6 educated, I'm sorry, I should say even a Primary 6 educated person could speaks or handle things better than him, trust me.

This highly post employee is a nightmare to all my fellow colleagues in the company. He always eliminate people who doesn't know or practices the art of apple polishing (carry balls or po lan pa) by finding fault with them and terminate their service whenever possible. I myself is a victim.

If I can proved that he's really only a Corporal in SCDF, I will then have the power and evidence to expose his shameful act to the top management as well as the authority. He will not only losses his job, he will also be facing jail terms for altering government documents.

This could saved many innocent people in my company who doesn't know or practices apple polishing from being eliminated by this shameful idiot.

So friends, after reading the above, spread the news around and help me to find a way to confirn the actual rank of this idiot in SCDF and I believe, you have done a good deed by doing so. Saving many people from losing their job.

Done that but the result is the same as what bro jplover expected. They need to verify that you are someone from HR before they released the information to you. from what i know, a NSF or NS guy, the highest rank he can go is LTA after rod. unless a doctor. MO rank is CPT.

normally SAF/SPF will issue a SAF100 to the reservist which the reservist have to submit to his company HR to notify of his ICT date. On that piece of paper will list the reservist rank, name and nric. If SCDF also operate as per SAF/SPF, then all TS have to do is ask a favour from the HR colleague to look out for that notification letter.

IMHO, i doubt anyone will bother cheat on their rank, nobody give a shit whether he a lcp or a ltc. Just because his angmo standard not up to scratch does not mean he cannot be a occifer in reservist.

As for nsf cannot be captain is not true, a LTA can be promote to CPT as long he a KAH. A good example would be NSP General Secratary Goh Meng Seng who hold the rank of CPT despite looking 50+ yo. while i am not sure but i doubt GMS ever sign on as a regular.

But frankly, NS rank is something equivalent to the post u held in your school ECAs. If he has been in the company for 10years and if his bosses are happy with him, is a discrepancy in NS rank gonna matter now?

Unless it's a misrepresentation of more important details, such as academic qualifications for someone holding a position that requires him to possess a certain qualification (e.g. engineer, accountant), otherwise, i don't think it's gonna get him out of your company.

Well, that being said, it should make him "lau kui" in front of the colleagues, since he's always saying he's a CPT. :)

Fully agree that NSFs who are clerk or storeman or whatever service or logistic vocation, not easy to survive.... Unlike Combat vocation whereby soldiers just obey and train and go for out-field.... In the Logisitic/Service Voaction, u not only have to work but to survive through dirty military politics from officers to specialist rank regulars.... Fucking bastards, expecially to my former NS superior from RSN, a Warrant Officer on board RSS Intrepid (69), everyday play politics and lick and carry balls when he was just a SSG only.... Frame me for deleting military IT-folder, yet cannot produce evidence nor give any folder name for the deleted file... End up causing my OC to come my house on a Saturday morning to apologise and say sorry when my father offically lodge a complain to my OC and told him if no evidence and still continue to charge his son (me), he will engage a lawyer to fight for me n make a big case out of this stupid charge and fight till become civilian law suit... End up my OC also LPPL, come my house ask my dad drop the case and apologise....

Actually, another side track: my dad serve his NS in the 1970s, and he told me there was once a cover-up news.... Wonder any senior samasters here old enough to know back in the 1970s, there was 1 NSF who was badly bullied by his superior till he got so angry and drew his rifle and load with full magazine and thus fully discharge all his magazine to his whole platoon mates and left the last bullet for himself to perish with them.... Wonder is this piece of news true or not?? But then, my dad and even some of my uncles also heard of this news before... wonder samasters here who are in their late 40s or 50s knew abt this??

Moral of this story, it doesn't matter where u work or not, NS-regular or high flyer or whatever, most importantly, treat people nicer and don't be an ass-hole and poke people's rice bowl..... U never know when there will be another major crazy office worker out there and end up bringing a whole bottle of kerosene to office and lock up the office and burn everyone alive out there if he/she is driven to the wall...

Plus, I have a friend out there too... I really pity him a lot.... Every time, we met up, he will tell me how bad his boss is, how bad his colleagues push their luck and ill-treat him... n he will be so angry n can even tell me: Kill 1 person, the law will sentence him to death by taking his 1 and only life.... Kill 10 people, the law will also punish him by sentencing him to death by taking his 1 and only life.... Latest news bros, although I did not seek help from union when I got fired, my union called me up after hearing from my colleagues that I got unfairly fired and asked me how I got fired. After hearing my story they advised me to fight all way with the help of union. They even willing to go till the extend of engaging their lawyers to kick those higher management people in my company for their unfair treatment haha. Seems like good show coming up, will update if there's any news. So it does pay off paying union membership fees every month haha.

That one last time is regular officer then end his bond. My co is LTC, S3 is major. Both last time regular officer n now bcome civilian NSF. Quite high rank and even reservist camp commander also can't do anything to them. Lol
