Well im no up to th standard of the recent bro who poste a coulple of posts... but ... if u gots the time (5 mins)

And further proof you should NOT be carrying IPhone

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2011/apr/20/iphone-tracking-prompts-privacy-fears

Security researchers have discovered that Apple's iPhone keeps track of where you go – and saves every detail of it to a secret file on the device which is then copied to the owner's computer when the two are synchronised.

The file contains the latitude and longitude of the phone's recorded coordinates along with a timestamp, meaning that anyone who stole the phone or the computer could discover details about the owner's movements using a simple program.

Feel like lining up for IPhone 5 Now???? ;)

http://petewarden.github.com/iPhoneTracker/
Some good people have an APp that may help to see if your IPhone is bugg

And most shocking

British researchers on Wednesday revealed that iPhones (and 3G-enabled iPads) keep track of where you go, including timestamps, on a file that is backed up on your computer and shifted onto any new iPhone or iPad you get. Apple hasn't said why the file is created or whether the tracking can be prevented.

This news is HOT from Wednesday 20 April 2011 14.06 BST, gentlemen!!!

How much u wanna bet that until 20 April 2012 Straits Time Digital Lie wont tell u about it????

I agree

Hence i just keep very simple phones like the $35 Nokia 1616 phone.

Pretty much useful for call and text and nothing else.

The problem with Smartphones is they incorporate applications like Facebook that track your location which if your bosses are on your facebook will reveal to them where you are at what time.

Oh my gosh!

In Other News!!!!

http://www.geekosystem.com/cellebrite-cellphone-hacker/
The device, called the Cellebrite UFED, has been tested by the Department of Justice which reported the device was capable of pulling all photos and video from an iPhone in under a minute and a half. Cellbrite says their devices also can extract, “existing, hidden, and deleted phone data, including call history, text messages, contacts, images, and geotags.” It can also extract your highly incriminating ringtones. (?????)

A check of the company website shows how quick and easy it would be to copy and paste.... and dont think u can NOT surrender your phone to the police...
http://www.cellebrite.com/ufed-support-center/tutorials.html

And they support a whole shit fuck ton load of phone models... and other brand u never think of....
http://www.cellebrite.com/ufed-support-center/ufed-supported-phones.html
There is an 99% chance your phone is supported :D
And if you are using APPLE there is a 100% chance

Interestingly there is no mention of NOKIA 3210 , Ericsson T10/18/28, Sony phones.... or PH 388/688.....

Bro Johnston and all the rest of the Bros...

Go and get a GSM900 old model phone la... You know the ericsson brand.

And if you can't ... refer to my posts on other recommended models and where to buy them.

Be safe.. By all means keep your current smartphone.. just don't use it to do your sms to the WL or the FL... Go and get a secondary phone for cheonging and get a low end older model that is not at risk.

FUCK!!!! Does that included SPF????

http://news.cnet.com/8301-31921_3-20056344-281.html?tag=topStories1

Law enforcement agencies have known since at least last year that an iPhone or iPad surreptitiously records its owner's approximate location, and have used that geolocation data to aid criminal investigations.

Apple has never publicized the undocumented feature buried deep within the software that operates iPhones and iPads, which became the topic of criticism this week after a researcher at a conference in Santa Clara, Calif., described in detail how it works. Apple had acknowledged to Congress last year only that "cell tower and Wi-Fi access point information" is "intermittently" collected and "transmitted to Apple" every 12 hours.

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free :D

If you want to eat outside, just prepare 2 plan B incase of being caught by OC or CO or commander in chief.

You can off your data from your iPhone in case your wife installed Apple me without you knowing!

Check this for iPhone samsters if you are not aware of this...
http://www.apple.com/mobileme/

Even you login to sbf, its possible to track you from which loc, what data you sent. I believed SBF is not encrpyted!

At the end of day, you must see who is tracking you. If gov wanted to track, there is not where to hide even with a simple nokia 1212. To disappear, just throw all digital devices away and hide in a mountain :)

Those findings are done by COMPUTER SCIENTISTS and I believe those data are not so easily accessed by lay person liked us.

As mentioned earlier, want to eat outside, use precaution and a plan B or C incase gotten caught :D

i could say even android users would have such issues, not discounting RIM as well, i do know my phone collects grps data anomalously even with no apps running.
somehow i believe nokia outdated symbian os should be relatively safe...
in the meantime, just have to wait for the rest of the phone companies to reply cnet queries.

any smartphone with grps function will have this problems.
it all depend on whether the manufacturer want to tap on this or not.
In this case, apple is using this function to it own advantage by secretly collecting the users data to gain an upper hand on it competitors without leting us know.

that is why i have switched over to a normal phone so that my wife or girlfriends cannot know my present and past location.

sometime high tech things may not be good for us if you know what i mean..

My friend.... the Iphone comes with the tracking shit when you update to OS 4. :D So when you upgraded your Iphone OS , it already installed without you knowing

And its surprising how many people dont know how their phone works... your phone doesnt need to have Gps to be able to track you.... look up cell phone on wiki for some explanations.

Is anyone even looking at my links? I am exploring two issues:
A) Apple Iphones now come with free tracker from APPLE
B) There are devices on the market which can copy everything from your phone

unless you're a mas selamat's hidden sidekick, im quite sure its nothin to be worried about. i think its just data being compiled for some next gen iOS functions (which will more likely than not, advance the location/mapping services that'll help us more on a daily basis).

So im just sayin if u dont want to be tracked because of watever clandestine ops you're doing, dont carry a smartphone in the first place if paranoia like these eat u up. mass hysteria doesnt help i think

My SBF bros,

As with Bro Johnston's advice... you should consider the following even if you have a second "non-smartphone".

If you are cheonging, LEAVE your Smartphone behind some where else.
Don't be ignorant to think that if you have OFF your Data Roaming, OFF your cellular Data, OFF your LOCATION services.. you are safe... the smartphone still transmits / receives signals because it needs to maintain the cellular signal strength wherever you are... What the paper published is only the tip of the iceberg of known tracking methods for cell phones.. There are just as many other ways to TRACK you and your smartphones and these may not necessary mean using GPS related apps.
