Hi Bros and Sis,

I actually submitted this thread last Wednesday and somehow I don't know why the thread didn't appear at all.. I thought it was a server update from SB, but one of the bros told me that it did not show up. Haiz!!! I spent like 2 hours writing the thread and having my consulting partner reviewed it last week to make sure everything was cool. I wished I had it saved on a document, but I didn't becoz I typed in directly to the posting thread section.

And so, thank you for your patience - becoz I thought I had sent it - but it disappeared into cyberspace somewhere in SBF now. And now I am attempting to rewrite it again.

This is linked to the earlier posts that came up on the same topic. A first topic was started by Bro Naturegreen which I am attaching the URL link here.

http://www.sammyboyforum.com/showthread.php?t=234941

The second was a promise I made as an effort to pull together some initial advice. I am deeply appreciative of the bros and sis who Upped me and appreciated the thread I posted out. And so - Again, THANK YOU Bros and Sis for the support.

And this second post is linked here :

http://www.sammyboyforum.com/showthread.php?t=236306

I also want to apologise to some bros who didn't think otherwise that it was helpful. And as I always and often reiterated in my posts. I am NOT an expert in these subject matter, I am just merely passing on good advice. And those advice comes from my years of work in a related field of CST. So please don't flame or zap me. It is not that I don't like to be criticized. I am open to constructive criticism and not just being zapped or flamed for no other reason. I appreciate and respect your cynicism. And if my post did not offend you in any way - then please have some respect. Or perhaps you are a Private Eye posing as an SBF Bro and is alarmed that some one in here is teaching other Bros and Sis to be more clever and alert in making sure their cellphones are not bugged(Bot) and tracked by their wife/partner/gf/bf.

Ok I will continue in the next post as I don't want my post to be lost in cyberspace as I suspect my LONG post with so many words may have exceeded server limits

And so let me continue on from here. And the subject title explains it clearly. Again, I like to state I do not work in the telco or phone industry. In my posts in below I am attempting to put things in simple perspective for people to understand quickly and the understand why I advice certain things to keep your tracks covered and minimize your phone risks. And so, let me begin with a short background on mobile phones to set the background.

Mobile phones started with 4 different phone operating systems (Phone OS).
Those old bird and seniors in SBF will know that , back in the earlier years there were more than a few Phone OS that the telcos operated in. Back in the 1G and 2G years, telco operated on different OS standards in GSM, CDMA, etc... And so in the earlier years, before 3G came to be, your cellphone usually cannot 'roam' and that means, you cannot use your phone in Korea, Japan and even in certain states of the US and Europe. Those were the years of 2G mobile phones. Again, I am not a telco expert, and I am just making it simple for the readers on SBF :=> The simplistic definition of the differences between 2G and 3G is that 3G, came about because phone manufacturers like Nokia, Ericsson, etc... were designing in great user apps like MMS, Video/photo sending, web surfingetc... That was a huge leap from 2G where phones were only able send SMS text only. And so with great fanfare and global acceptance 3G became the norm and then suddenly every one had the convenience to be able to use their own mobile phones when they travelled to japan, Korea, china, and US, and all of europe because even modern day basic 3G phones (not smartphones) can roam in the countries where 3G operating networks were available. And so fast forward to our present times, you have 3G phones and you have 3G Smartphones that acts like a mini-PC but as your phone.

We all welcomed 3G mobile network because it gave all of us convenience. The ability to exchange Video/Photo SMS (MMS), send funny animated greetings, do Video calls, Surf the web, find your way if you ever got lost via your GPS Mapping app on your phone, allow merchants to prompt you of a sale when they detect your phone is nearby and within range of their stores etc... And so these wonderful dream features can become nightmares for fellow Bros and Sis who had their phone tapped/bugged/bot/tracked and their partners/wife/gf/bf use informations taken from their phones to file a divorce or whatever you can imagine it would be when you are literally CAUGHT "eating outside" and with proof.

I don't need to give examples as you can see from newspapers who sometimes even politicians get framed or have to step down becoz of their cellphone indiscretions.

In the following post I like to put some 'points' on what 3G and smartphones means for SBF bros and sis in terms of 'exposure'.

Some Tips on how to "blind your phone" and masked your tracks.

Your phone is your friend and enemy at the same time. It's great to have 3G phone and/or 3G smartphone. We all cannot live without our phones these days yes. But I want to explore the dark side of the 3G phone/smartphone.

1. (1 is for 1 mobilephone) Having 1phone are a Stupid Choice for any cheongsters.
Ok let's face it. with one phone you tend to be lazy and you tend to leave tracks of what you have been doing with your phone. Worst of all, Smartphones are too easy to use and your gf/bf/wife/partner can easily pick up your smartphone, navigate through the levels of menu and get to see what they want to see on your phone in manner of minutes when you are gone in the bathroom, taking a shower or deep in sleep. So the common sense tip is, if you wanna cheong, get a second phone and hide it and keep it away from your side. (put it in safe place - I am tempted to list a few places here on SBF, but I am well aware some private eyes are reading this posts as well and advising their clients to check on those hiding places).

2. (2 is for 2G) Your 2nd phone SHOULD be a dedicated phone for Cheonging only. And so - your 2nd phone CANNOT be a Smartphone. The best advice I give to my clients are that you go and buy a second hand 2G phone. Get the most BASIC 2G model you can find. And why a 2G phone? - there are many reasons why (read on..)

3. Get a pre-paid SIM card to go with your 2g phone. And with common sense and logic you know why. You don't want a unsolicited SMS from your FB or the KTV hostess you met sending you a SMS on your own primary phone when you are sleeping, and your wife wonders who sent you an sms at 12midnight... you get the picture yes???

4. (4 is the number of weeks that equals 1 month). The CST consulting business that I run with my partner, we have a good base of indonesian businessmen/businesswomen clientele, and we teach them the basic principles of masking and cleaning their tracks. Some of then have genuine reasons to not be tracked in case they are being kidnapped by envious business rivals, and some do not want to be harassed with compromising evidence that lead to expensive blackmails. And so our Indo clients are very very HARDCORE in terms of observing OpSec. They would discard their 2G phones every 3~4weeks and get a new one. And it is the same with prepaid sim card. They are trained NOT TO RELOAD or TopUp their prepaid SIM CARDs. Like the phone advice, they will destroy the sim card and get a NEW prepaid cards all the time.

5. SpyBots/Tracker Bots in your phone
Let's be very honest with yourselves. If you ever ever felt a miniscule hint you think and you suspect that your phone has been 'punked' by a tracker/spy bot.. by, say, your wife/partner/gf/bf, then JUST ASSUME 100% that it has been compromised. Searching for and trying to discover if there is a bot installed on your phone is NOT easy to trace. So don't waste your time and your money finding out for services to trace if your phone has been punked. Bots enter into your phone via a innocent MMS (attached and hidden and activated when you open the MMS to view it). And Bots can enter into your phone when you open up your animated greetings (ya... Christmas, Chinese New Year, Birthday greetings..)

maxpee88

Ok - so now you know 2G and 3G. And so you now say.. ok cool, I already OWN 2 phones. One for work and 1 for personal use.

This section now talks about what you need to do to keep yourself and your phone Blind and masking your tracks

6. The features of a smartphone you need to be AWARE of
Your smartphone has web surfing capabilities. Ok - those of you who use your smartphone to surf for porn sites, access into SBF, etc... when you are sitting in the toilet or during your smoke break, please REMEMBER to erase your google search tab history. Don't be confused with Web page history. Search tab history is there because Google is smart to save keywords and help you autocomplete the search word string faster. And so imagine, if you were to type say Sammy's Curry Chicken and as you are typing, the search tab opens up all previous searches you have done with the keyword Sammy... and Sammyboyforum will show up on your search tab options... Ok you get it yes?

Iphones in my trade and industry is called an IDIOT Phone. Becoz you can't erase call history ONE CALL AT A TIME. And that means you have to erase all the call history. Ok - just imagine, this scenario. You only own one phone. You are out shopping with your wife/gf/bf/partner. You get a call from the babe/hunk you have been flirting with. You walked away from your partner/gf/bf to chat. And then when call is done, you walk back.. and your wife ask who called... you and say oh.. its just work.. and your iphone can't erase that call. If you erase it, you had to erase ALL the call history. Damn if you do and Damn if you don't. Erasing the call history makes your wife entirely suspicious. Not erasing it - well... good luck mate.. I am sure some of the bros out there face this before (ya.. you know who you are and you are laughing becoz it is true right?)

7. Turn off ALL Location Services
That means, turn off your GPS, turn off your mapping app (better yet, delete it or DON"t even download, or Don;t even use it).
Turn off your Data Roaming, Turn off your Cellular Data services...

8. (7 and 8 are linked like in cantonese saying 7 hands 8 legs) Whenever I go on business trips, I see my partner practice 7 and 8 very well. Through out the days with clients, at their offices, he will leave his primary smartphone with all features on, as we sometimes need to assess online info. But when the day is done and we reached the hotel, he will DEACTIVATE all the roaming and tracking features on his smartphone. The Deactivation will then only register his smartphone at the hotel location where he last switched off his phone GPS location signal. This is so that any phone tracker app cannot trace his NEXT location if he decides steps out of the hotel and go cheong at a Massage Parlor or KTV

9. Phone Tracker apps. If you own a iphone, you can see from AppStore that there are plenty of phone tracker apps downloadable for less than $1. You have read newspaper reports of stupid snatch thieves who were apprehended becoz police trace the smartphone (which was inside the handbag they had snatched) via Phone Tracker. The thieves didn't even know. And if they did, they couldn't turn off the feature because the smartphone had a password lock. The phone tracker installed on your partner/gf/bf phone can be used to track where you are. All you need to do is enter a phone number and it will track the location.

10. Bots from HELL. And it is aptly named. Becoz 3G and smartphones now allowed for inter-operatability, there are many programmers who can write tracker apps and bots. Whether you have a Samsung, Motorola or Sony-Ericsson, or an Iphone, Andriod, and Apple OS platforms are fast becoming open platforms for people to write programs to. Your smartphone today is regrettably a stupid choice if you DO NOT WANT TO BE TRACKED. Bots can reside inside your phone, AND on your SIM Card. So changing new phones, may not help, cos the SIM CARD could be where the bot is hidden. Changing both SIM CARD and PHONE may not be safe, because it could be already embedded in your contact lists. In fact, today the best spybots are HIDDEN in your contact lists, because this what you need to have on your phone, whether new, old etc...

Ok - good luck. That ends my top 10 advice and tips.

If you enjoyed this and find value in this and feel a lot better equipped to deal with your cheonging lifestyle. Please don't forget to Up me.

Thank you

Bro:

Thank you very much for your informative lessons. It is an eye opener for people like me who does not have much knowledge in computer system or software.

Most of the time, Iphone and Ipad are the two items mentioned in your article. I don't own any of these 2 items, however, I own a Samsung Galaxy Tab. Is there any advice you can give to these group of owners?

Thanks and will up you.

Your Galaxy Tab is a android based phone. I advice you observe the same rules I suggested. Don't use it as your primary phone to cheong.
There are spyware phone tracker for Andriod and Symbian as well as Apple OS phones.

Just buy a simple 2G phone and get a prepaid sim card to do your cheonging business.

Bro Maxpee88,

Thanks for your informative Part 2. Just 1 quick question to your Point No.10: So what is your advice if we're assuming that our current phones have been compromised? Can't change new phone/ new SIM card etc ... so where do we stand to start afresh?

Upped you with my humble points ... :)

Bro - When I have clients who contact us for help. They often start with the same sentence you have.

No. 1 - Just 100% assume your current phone is compromised. and from here on, learn to be smart and safe.

No. 2 - go and search and buy a 2nd hand lowest model 2G phone. The more low and less features, the better. Because programmers don't waste time and effort to write a bot for an outdated or even obsolete phone model. And use a prepaid sim card OK?

Bro Johnston,

You da man ! yes - now that you mentioned that on OpSec, I was grinning too. Was tryin to look for a better word to describe the way my clients was obsessed with their privacy.

Thanks for the comments. And yes yes yes yes.. the old Ericsson PH388 will do fine (if you can still find one). And if its helpful enough, you don't need to go that far back in handphone model. The last time I wandered around, I still see $20 Nokia handsets (you remember the 'butterfly model") in good condition (well their shell covers looked new).

They can only locate where you are but nobody will know wad u do at that place (must I be very obvious now?)

My humble contribution for those smart enuff

Buying another phone and use prepaid is good only if u can keep that phone from everybody else (which is not possible for normal common working class) and it's not ur info used for registering.

Why bother to OFF everything when u need to ON everything back later? Just take out the batt will do (just in case u still haven figure out why iPhone batt was made not possible to take out)

Bottomline: if u find it really hard to eat outside, then don't. Do it when u are at least 100% sure u can

This is getting interesting, where can i find/but this MMS that contains the bots, so i can send it to my girlfriend/fb to know their whereabout?:D

Next, switching off the phone or taking out the batt won't do any good, coz if any CO were to call and line is not available, also got a good explainations to do later on.:(

Thanks for taking the time to write the tips bro. A very good read.

May I just add that it's even better if you do not store the 'special' phone numbers in your address book at all. Memorise them so you can say that it was a wrong number or a sales pitch. Far easier to get away with it than when your caller id says 'LuLu'......

Yep, agree. All we need to do is either memorise the numbers, or if too many, save them with names such as Luis Lum for Lulu, Sam San for Sasa, Xi Ma for Xiao Mei. And use password for the iphones. A special code number can be used so that you will know that's your cheong friend e.g. prefix 078 for all of them. Should be easy to explain if wifey or gf query, which rarely happens becos these names look so and unsuspicious.

Bro Steven
Thanks... As you know, I wrote this thread BEFORE the latest iPhone OS has been updated. The older 3G and 3GS iphones at that time when I wrote this thread did not have this feature to delete individual calls at all.

It is only now after the last 2 iphone IOS updates that you can now delete the calls you made/received etc...

But thank you for contributing.

Anyway... there has been a few highly publicized AV raids which resulted in the AV team nabbing OKTs and their operations and their PCs etc...

I leave to your intelligence that if you have used your phone to call for cheonging, and the OKT happened to be caught, then just assumed your record is with AV.

Whether or not they want to ask you for kopi talk really depends If the stable has some illegal activity (like under 18yrs, or illegal visitor entry or over-stayer..etc..).

Nowadays, I rather not call for any 'steal eat' activity.
