Man with 'watermelon-sized' breasts seeks medical help
Shin Min Daily recently reported on an unusual medical case in China where a man's breast had grown excessively large.
STOMPer Geomancer alerted STOMP to the report which claimed that doctors are bewildered by the case. One doctor even speculated that the man could have eaten chicken meat containing large amount of female hormones.
The 53-year-old cow hand, Guo Feng, said that his breasts suddenly became enlarged until they became as big as watermelons about 10 years ago.
He had sought advice from several doctors in his hometown, to no avail. Eventually, he went to a hospital in Beijing.
One of the doctors from Jinan Chest Hospital suspected that he might have eaten the wrong food or food containing impurities. She added that she had never seen a similar case in her 30 years of medical experience.
Blood tests and x-rays showed that the patient had excess animal fat.
STOMPer Geomancer added in his e-mail that one doctor said that the man could have eaten too much stewed chicken containing female hormones. This in turn could have led to his breasts ballooning beyond control.
