Well, our AV has successfully killed Geylang.

Business there has fallen by 30-35%. With the banning of all FLs, the hardest hit are the shop / hotel owners. Geylang has seen the golden days and now has loss it's lustre.

Geylang is now sterile. Making it a not so unique place in Singapore. It use to be a unique place. Where else can you find a pageant of ladies from Vietnam, China, Indonesia, India at one place? At one point, there were even Russians and Africans! It's like a beauty pageant where the man on the street can enjoy. An array of eye candy that you can have and eat, if you can afford it that is. But Alas, it's gone.

Soon our internet will be also be sterile. MDA just banned all the porn sites. I think I will be downgrading my internet broadband as soon as my contract ends.

Just my update on the scenario in GL. Went there on last Sat night. The whole place, Lorong after Lorong was squeaking clean. Not a single WL in sight. The time was 7:00pm. Every Lorong had atleast one or two Mata manning it. I guessed I was too early, the police will leave at 9 or 10. Had makan and roamed about. 9:00pm, the scene was still the same. Went and had a beer and tried to chit chat the beer aunty. She was too busy for me. At 10:00 again I tried the streets and same situation. My brain told surely at 12:00am the blue clothes will leave. No luck. Fed up, I went to the Pubs (Milk, Her Majesty) and looked up the Viets and PRCs there. Only these places were teaming with activity. Her Majesty had a pole dance going on with it's doors wide open to the street! Picked up a Viet in her thirties and unloaded by guns into her. (Will update on her and her photos in the KTV/Pubs forum). At 1:00 am, went to look see. Greeted by the same deserted streets. Looks like it will be the same until YOG is over.

I guess the action has moved indoors which is what the Govt wants. The girls are not visible on the street, so not blatant and less public complains. Within the closed doors, the girls are trained, regulated and undergoes medical check up.

In fact, last time, i had tried the GL street walkers, some which very pretty, but their svc really sucks, and it was proven with more than a few tries. Now with the legal PRC working in the houses, they strive to get more regulars by at least maintaining some svc.

Personally i would prefer the legal house girls anytime.
