Aiyah Bro, 2 July I was in Betong lah. Drove up there to help a friend transport her motorbike from Yala to Betong. Also came back on that day. My h/p was on, but I guess at many points during the journey there, there was no reception.

Reach Hatyai back evening. I think I did received a call from MrDevil, but when I stop the car to call him back, no reply leh.

Anyway, I also change to a new h/p but old one was also on.

go Hatyai don't need package. Package normally has twin sharing room which I think you don't want right? Just book air ticket, and hotel rooms. Hatyai is small enough for you to venture even alone. People here speaks even hokkien, so not to worry too mucn. As where to go, go thru the thread to get an idea.

As mentioned, go Hatyai no need package one. Just buy the air ticket here and the rest can be settled in Hatyai itself. The travel agencies over there got everything you need: money changing, hotels, massage vouchers, even 'tiger show' and sexy show tickets can be bought there.

No, if you can spot Hatyai Palace Hotel on the map, you will see Cheekimyong Road. The farms are located along the few lorongs in between Hatyai Merlin and Daichi.

With some bros already there to help you, shouldn't be a problem getting around.

The airport limo fare is 240 or 250 baht (approx S$10) to the city, pay at the counter. Travelling time is about 20 to 30 mins. By the way, do not expect a merc or bmw limo, hatyai's version is something like a nissan sunny.

Tell taxi driver take youto Lovely tour or Davis tour. There u can change yr money, book yr hotel, and get all sort of shows and massage voucher there. Than u can take a tuk tuk ( B10 ) to yr hotel ... Hatyai Palace ....... also walking distance to food, and chicken farm...enjoy

My last trip also travelled alone, it's a different kind of fun but I still think if got few bros there to catch up during "screw" break time will be much more fun...:)

After I touched down Hatyai airport, bought a cab vouncher at the counter for THB 200 then go straight to Lovely Tour. From there select the hotel u like to stay, SGV, Hatyai Palace...etc...I think it will be good to purchase the thai massage vounche at this time too, u will save about THB 60.

By this time it will be around 6pm local time, not a very good time to visit the farms...I'll probably leave that till the next morning...

I think by the next day when u got your companion, u will be taken care of liao...

Go to Phya Tour in Golden Mile. Return Ticket is $240 (I got it for $235) including tax. (Tax at Thai airport is 500 Baht on your return. Must pay at airport, not to agent).

Hotels (reasonable good ones) is about $20 to $30 per night if you're not too choosy. I can help you get it when you're here. Airport transfer is less than $10 lah.

Don't worry about return date. Can be change here.

I've been to this New Sky Lounge in Pink Lady Hotel, 12th floor i think...there r some gals to choose at the counter n for a tip they'll sit n chat with u.

If u like the gal, can also bring her back to room but the price is about THB 3,000 to 3,500, expensive compared to those from farms...

There's also another one on the same level as the ap nam place...

I think the lounge at Hatyai Palace 2nd level also been recommended before (Kiss Lounge i think...), mayb u can try that out too..

If you are going to Hatyai at the end of august, I think you better book your hotel early. There is a Charity Ride at Krabi on the 3rd Sept and a lot of bikers will be staying at Hatyai first before proceeding to Krabi. This Charity ride involve bikers from Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, so you can imaging the numbers of bikers will be there. :cool:

Pink lady sky lounge is quite expensive as you have to pay for lady's drink by the 45 mins, excluding booking.

Hatyai Palace 2nd level has tiger show which you can also book the girls.

Kiss Lounge is in Garden Home 2nd floor. Girls are really pretty and all can be booked. But the pub is expensive if you sit there for a drink and girls come over. Ladies drink like sky lounge. :cool:

Reach Hat Yai airport around 5:30pm, as I am taking the package tour, I gonna look for the guy from the tour agent, which they will fetch me to the hotel, check in.......etc. It take me some time to locate the guy, but at last, he manage to find me. It take about 20mins to reach the hat Yai city from the airport. I feel hungry once we reach the hotel, so after check in, I ask the guy to bring me to change some dollars into baht, then we went for dinner. It was 7pm when we finished. You made a mistake for not contacting bro thaivisitor. He will probably tell you not to worry, 7pm ~ 8pm is still young. There are still dozen of farms opening, providing their gals are still not booked out but I guess you could still lucky as its not very crowded in Hdy now. Mention about ways to tame a puying. Dunno if you heard that on one of our trips up to Hatyai, one of our bros got a "f*#ked up" puying. Went out to do her own thing, socialising and what not. We were staying at LGP, she had a card key. So to teach her a lesson, we went to the reception, got the key code changed and went on with our own things. That kept her wondering about for a good half a day.

Most coaches will leave about 6pm ~ 6.30pm and reaching Changlun (Msia border with Thai) about 5.00 ~ 5.30am to wait for the custom to open at 6.00am. It will take another 45 mins to reach Hdy town from the custom. All in all, you will probably spending 13 hours in the bus. If you can sleep well in the bus, then the journey is not too bad but if otherwise, it will be really miserable to sit still with nothing to do for 13 hours is really killing. I rather drive up, most flexibility and convenience.

Thats the cheapest route from Spore, so got to bear with it. Otherwise, you can try AirAsia JB > Pg direct flight and Pg > Changlun > Hdy by taxi. It should about SGD150 and reaching about 1.00 ~ 2.00 pm thai time.

Right after Thai border is Danuk border town, party starts as early as 4pm. Pretty happening and wild there too. Joints worth to check out are Bangkok Cafe, Spider Cafe, Oscar Cafe which are all within walking distance. Quality of puyings not bad if you are not scared off by the cowboy town surrounding.

I usually spilt the driving to 2 part. Stop for a happy hour at KL, then Ipoh for supper before heading to Hdy. Straight up will be very jialat, must rotate driver, if not by the time you reach Hdy, you are more interested to the bed than puying.

Even if you getting ready to part with RM50 on each speed trap, you cant take it at 160 km/h for too many hours. The fastest we ever reached Changlun is about 8 hours plus, of course with 3 drivers driving non-stop. It's distance is about 850km, thats having to keep a minimum of speed of at least 120 ~ 130 km/h. The toll fees alone will cost about RM90 plus about 2 tanks petrol depending on your fuel consumption. Assuming if RM50/tank X 2 + RM90 toll fees = RM190 . It will be economical if you have at least 3 ~ 4 person sharing the journey, otherwise it will be cheaper to go by coach. Of course, you wont have as much freedom and convenience to decide your iterinary. BTW, you could also drive your car in to HDY if you have your car log card and bought a insurance at Mini Tour at Changlun for RM18. You will save a lot of tuk tuk fees and all the convenience of driving around.

I have a buddy who have drived all the way to BKK and Phuket in a 10 days trip. The furthest I have ventured on road in LOS is from BKK > Pattaya > Chanthapuri > Cambodia, by bus and pickup. Quite an adventerous journey, though most of the time you are on road rather than bed but you get to see lots of news things and explored unexplored areas.

I just came back from Hatyai and I noticed that it is still pretty quiet. Hope my experience below will help in getting better enjoyment for our brothers here.

Hotel stay.

This time round I stayed in Regency and Novotel.

Regency offered bigger rooms at cheaper prices, even the bathroom is bigger. They have some mirrors around the room which really make bonking experience more fun and enjoyable. There is a hair dryer and boiler for making coffee in the room.

Novotel offers slightly smaller rooms and more expensive but the comfort level in the room is very much higher. The bed sheets used are of much higher quality as well. In fact the accessories used inside the rooms are of much higher quality. You can fall asleep very easily in their bed as they are really very comfortable. The air con is also much colder and effective.

IMO, I felt much more comfortable staying in Novotel, as they offered those small small things that gives me great conveniences. One example was that I requested for three pin to two pin plug converter so that I can charge my hand phone, Novotel do offered such conveniences but regency is a no. Next thing I realised is that the toilet seats in Regency are turning very yellow. Corridors in Novotel is very well lighted but Regency is a bit on the dark side.

Food.

The hilltop (Bon Khao) offers superb food and very nice night scenery overlooking the city. As mentioned by the bros, the fried pig legs is heavenly and can be considered their speciality. Its a great waste if you miss it. The pricing behind is extremely reasonable as well. This place really deserves special mentioning.

We moved around and literally ransacked the as much as we could to get the puying of our dreams, we looked at Channivate, See Kim Yong and Thong Sao, Channivate area on average offers better quality puyings. the best time to do the search in KFC farms is 1130 am Thailand time. Pricing for these KTVs are like 1800, 2000 and 2500 baht on average. I got mine at 2000 baht and my friend's at 2500 baht. however, I was very happy with her service, and felt that she does not lose out to the 2500 puyings in terms of looks and service and so in the end, I gave another 500 baht tips to her.

In the late afternoon and evening, we went SC heritage (5000 baht) and garden home (3200 baht and 3900 baht). I must say that Garden home offers much better packaging, and choice of Puyings is much much more. Quality wise and service wise definitely will not lose to SC heritage. One thing though, I realised that quite a number of them in both SC and garden home are in their late twenties. But in terms of social skills, they definitely know how to please a man.

If you are a bargain hunter, and search hard enough, I believe it is possible to get a very good looking puying in the farms however, service wise, you may not get what you want.

However if you have a bigger appetite and wants a better assurance in terms of looks and service, then perhaps the so called "higher class" places like garden home and SC heritage is the place.

yeah when you have too much choice to choose from but after sometime you will get bored with variety too. You will then wish to find a really good one and then settle down for awhile to enjoy the warm and cosy treatment.

So I usually pay the quoted price without bargain if its reasonable (market price is pretty standard) and if it is a bit high, I will just pull the OKT out to door to give him/her the price that I think is fair. At least, I save everyone from losing face, usually works better this way. Sometimes got to be reasonable lar, dont be cheapo to press the price down too much like from 2,000b to 1,500b which usually means you are degrading her liao.

SC and Garden Homes don't marked up the price so you won't be cheated. You can also try Pink Lady or Chao Phaya where you can also talk to the girl to book her for ONS. Service wise, they're better than even Garden Home girls. But you need to take her in the fish tank first and also they only come out after work.

Yes, I do agree with you those puyings from Arg Nam should be more skillful to serve you better if you manage to get one out after their work but you will got to bear in mind that she is after a full day of work, probably have bonked couple of times earlier.

Was in Hatyai in June, it was much much quieter than when I was there previously in March. Alot of places were closed such as Hollywood, Busapha, etc Only saw the crowds on Fri & Sat & it was not as large as in the past.

Fewer visitors going to Hatyai, probably due to the violence in the south. Couldn't find the same girls I booked on my previous visit. Quality of KFC girls seems to be lower. I think the girls are not getting enough bookings, so have to move on to greener pasteurs.

Firstly, it will never work because the OKT is oblidged to stick to the price for the duige's comm. Secondly, the guides need to earn a living too and this is the way they earn.

Even if you go in groups, sometimes you think.."waaa the guide so good to earn ar" 4 bookings per day earn 2000 baht. Bear in mind they don't have customers everyday.

Moreover, their mark up is quite standard from 300 to 500 baht.

500b is about SGD20 which could not even buy a good lunch but could a good earning for a couple of days to feed a family. End of the day, if it dont mean that much to you and if he has done his part to serve you, just treat it as your tips to him. You could have been actually tipping more heavily when you are in Spore KTV anyway. If you hold this mindset, then you will know how to make him to serve you better and make your trip more pleasant.

The farm wont normally go for a lower price even if you get the contact and call back later. They dont wish to risk their reputation of cheating on commission which could affect their business big time, this is exactly how it works in LOS. If you are regular, the OKT will automatically tell the tuk tuk. Another advantage to be familiar with the location and speak in fluent thai. So, there are lots of advantage to start to learn speaking thai now.

You can fly direct AirAsia from JB > Penang (50 mins) and from Penang to Changlun by taxi that takes about 75 mins for RM120. You should reach Hdy earlier than connecting flight from KL to Hdy. Alternative checkout TigerAir once they launched their service from Spore > Hdy direct.

hahahah...when you have been the place like every other week, it dont feel much difference and nothing much to write about, except perhaps few new discoveries to share.

Wireless connection at Sakura GV lobby, so you just need a lap top with wireless LAN to surf internet there. Not sure of the speed though as I was too busy to online. There is also a PC at the left of reception counter for quick online. Another good reason to stay in SK GV.

Diamond Plaza Hotel cost 850b with voucher or 890b without, is not worth at all. Room is older, smaller, poor aircon and smell like shit car park. The only plus is there is some astro channel for TV lovers. Its conveniently located around city hub but I would prefer to be out of city hub, lots of traffic and unwanted attention from aunties in Hdy for shopping.

Hatyai Asia Hotel cost only 420b with voucher or 450b without (the usual walk in rate is 490b, you can tell them you have stayed there at 450b to get the lower rate without voucher). A room is pretty new and std, though without a bathtub. Not as good as Hatyai Place but better than Hatyai Merlin Hotel. Cant complaint much at this price. Pretty convenient location right at the hub of See Kim Yong.

The last weekend see most farms empty pretty early, even at 10am. Was showing a friend around the farms. Nothing much to rave about the farm, price still pretty much about the same, 1,500b ~ 2,000b.

Chamois Club - opp Florida Hotel, right at the end of the road where Sakura GV located. Mainly frequented by established thai man, so be prepared to be treated as a thai there. About 15 girls, quite a few lookers and most gals came in about 9pm. 1,800b for S/T and 3,000b ~ 3,500b for O/N. I find the quality of the puyings are better than SkyLounge but not lost to Kiss Lounge.Quality is better Have live singing but the singer is not too pretty, just average looker.

Piano KTV - if you still not sleepy yet after disco, can proceed to this KTV that operate after-hour till wee morning, about 5am. But get prepared to pay high bill as the booking hours is double. 2 Chivas, 2 GRO for 3 hours in a medium room for 6 person could cost close to 6,000b.

Danuk - this cowboy town is flooded with joung juicy "foreign" puyings but too bad a huge number of them was caught in a raid few days back, others I am sure Danuk will surely in par with Hdy for wild fun.

Sparks - opp Chao Praya 4, Sugar Beat and other bars are also just walking distance away, though it located pretty far off from the rest. Understand that the pricing and system with Kiss Lounge with 20~30 puyings, not sure the quality yet as have not got a chance to check that out.

Big C - got a chance to meet 2 roadshow promoter selling bangalow ranging from 1.5 million baht to 3.5 million baht. Though, not eligble to buy yet but manage to strike off well with both promoters. Quite a few lookers there, just enjoy the "window" shopping and explore.

Last I was there, there were a few pub-clubs in the vicinity of the Thai hotel area in the centre of the town. Its so small, you cannot miss finding anything that is open there. As for massage, I did not check it out.

Surely there will be in the hotels such as Thai Hotel or the Vieng Hotel (name something like that). The big hotels like the Krabi Meritime hotel will also have massage but, you don't need to go pay that kind of prices.

Ask around the city and you will surely find what you what but its a small town and thats one of its good points.

Forget about the beach areas where there are puyings in the beer bar type places catering to the farangs unless that is your scene.

Along the river front, theres very good cooked food at very reasonable prices.

Best thing you can do is to get a map of Krabi when you arrive in the town at any of the tourist hotels. I have lost mine now

$40 flight is even cheaper than coach at least $42. Most terror attacks are around Pattani and Yala, about 90 min drive from Hdy. Could also see increased security like 100% motor and car checking prior entry to Lee Garden car park and local vehicle checking before reaching Hansa Sas area.

Surely there will be in the hotels such as Thai Hotel or the Vieng Hotel (name something like that). The big hotels like the Krabi Meritime hotel will also have massage but, you don't need to go pay that kind of prices.

Ask around the city and you will surely find what you what but its a small town and thats one of its good points.

Forget about the beach areas where there are puyings in the beer bar type places catering to the farangs unless that is your scene.

Along the river front, theres very good cooked food at very reasonable prices.

Best thing you can do is to get a map of Krabi when you arrive in the town at any of the tourist hotels. I have lost mine now

Yes, Krabi is lovely small town. I first visited it by driving down in a small Suzuki jeep from Phuket more than 10 years ago. In those days, lots of farang backpackers all over the town and I actually checked into one such small backpaker's hotel for the unbelievable price of 60 bahts (with attached toilet some more).

Spent the night in a Karaoke place on route 411 quite far out of town and chased the ast mummy cos she was the one who turned me on - slept alone in the end!

Been back a few more times including twice driving up from Sillypore (once on the way to Phuket) and I still love the small town atmosphere.

Cannot say what its like to live there cos you will only know when you spend more time there. All my visits have been 2-3 night affairs of which, besides that 60 bahts night long time ago, I have stayed once on the beach at Phra Nang Inn (was with family *& kids), and once at Krabi Meritime (also with family & kids).

The night places I noticed were all in the town centre areas of Issara Road, and sois 2-10 which link Maharat Road & Utrtrakit Road in the centre.

Perhaps, there will be some well known local nite-life area that the locals can point you to. Just drop into either the Vieng Thong Hotel or Thai hotel and chat with the concierge (bellhops) and you will get all the juicy information within minutes I am sure.

Yes, I would prefer Chamois over Sky. Chamois is considered the high class night club for locals. Most patrol are local businessman. We spent lesser than 30 mins in Sky, probably thats not our night but the puyings at Sky totally cant worth their price. The only plus is their sexy show at midnite.

Lee Garden Massage has been well known for their girls and their playability. Their room condition is also better than Sakura GV. Pricing at 240b, no voucher applicable.
