sorry to ask this here, knn my comp is getting slower and i can't stand it anymore !

time to buy a new one ?

with your spec I assume your cpu is 478 socket and ram PC133.
Your mother board cannot install the newer 754 type intel duo core cpu chip and the newer DDR2 ram. You may have to include a new motherboard in your budget.

Upgrading older model ram is very expensive. Your current spec is good enough to surf net or even do MS office work. Degrade in performance may be due to loads of unneccessary startup programs and/or adware/spyware accumulated without your knowledge over the period, or you simply needs a good defragmentation of your harddrive. If you dun intend to spend on a new system yet you can reformat and clean install your OS.

2GB ram is more than enough for Window XP. Many MNC still using 1GB for their office pc.

play online games doesnt need quad core.
dual core would be enough.
unless you are doing photo editing and such, quad core then it's needed,

for me.
3.3 dual core processer and 4 gb~
no lag for any game~
